The Czech Republic tightens the foundations for the usage of masks

The Czech Republic will tighten its rules on the use of masks by requiring citizens to wear medical grade masks in some areas, Health Minister Jan Blatny announced today.

Starting Monday, people should use particle-filtered or nano-silver-plated masks for higher protection when entering stores, public transportation or hospitals.

“Citizens should wear medical grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks, but the overlap of two normal surgical masks may be allowed,” said Blatny, reports ATSh.

The Czech Republic is currently struggling with an increase in new daily infections, which, according to the government, is due to the spread of the most infectious variant of COVID-19, first identified in the UK.
