The first quantities of gas will flow through the new route tomorrow at 6 am, and Hungary will take over 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas a year through the Balkan Stream, ie Serbia, with a new contract with “Gazprom”.
Peter Sijarto thanked Serbia for finishing the work on time and providing an additional safe route for supplying Hungary with gas.
Minister Vulin assessed that this is an important day for Hungary and Serbia.
“Thanks to the opportunity to open this part of the Balkan gas pipeline together, we can say that today the energy independence of our enamels has been raised to a higher level,” said Vulin.
He pointed out that this was possible thanks to the independent policy of the leaders of Serbia and Hungary.
